Rise and Shine Free Breakfast Club
We are pleased to announce that as part of the National Free Breakfast Club Programme, Moorgate has introduced our ‘Rise and Shine’ Free Breakfast Club from September 2026.
The Breakfast Club provides a healthy breakfast in a safe, welcoming environment, giving children an opportunity to socialise with friends and make a positive start to the school day.
About Rise and Shine Breakfast Club
- Our Rise and Shine Breakfast Club is available to all children from Reception – Year 6.
- Rise and Shine Breakfast Club is open every school day from 8.30am until the start of the school day.
- There is no cost to attend this club.
- Children will take part in a variety of activities and enjoy a healthy breakfast. Cereal, toast and jam, fruit, milk and water will be available daily.
- We encourage parents to book on to the club via the MCAS App so that we can ensure we have sufficient staff supervision and breakfast items. However, if you are unable to access the app you can still bring your child without booking.
- Children will be supervised by Moorgate staff, ensuring compliance with all safeguarding requirements and child-to-staff ratios.
- The club will be held in the school hall and can be accessed via the main entrance to school. Please note that children will only be allowed access from 8.30am.
- Our existing Sunrise Breakfast Club will continue to run from 7.30am – 8.30am and parents should continue to book and make payment as normal via the MCAS app.
- Rise and Shine Club is available for all children from Reception – Year 6, however, if you feel that your child may require additional support in this club, please speak to a member of staff prior to them attending.
